What Adventists Believe

Below is a summary of what Adventist's Believe. Adventist believe that our fundamental beliefs are Biblically based. Adventist also believe that how we hold our beliefs in relationship to other people of different religions and cultures plays an equally important role for each Adventist Christian. The Palo Cedro Church wishes to hold our beliefs with Unity, Liberty of Conscience and Charity.

THE ESSENTIALS THAT ADVENTISTS BELIEVE

1. We believe in God the Father; in His Son, Jesus Christ; and in the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians. 13:14 2.

2. We accept the death of Jesus as the payment for my sins.Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1 7.

3. We accept the new heart that Jesus gives me in place of my sinful heart. John 15:5

4. We believe that Jesus is now in heaven and that He has given me the Holy Spirit so that I might live a Christ-like life. 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:116,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18 4.

5. We believe that God gave us the Bible so that we might know what to believe
and how to live. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20, 21; II Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5 5.

6. We believe in living by all of the Ten Commandments, including the seventh day Sabbath. Exodus 20; Mark 2:27.

7. We believe that Jesus is coming again and He wants me to help as many people as possible to be ready to meet Him. Mark 2:27

8. We believe that God gives special Spiritual Gifts to people to build up His
church. 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:116,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18 4.

9. We want to help my church with my influence, effort and money. Leviticus 27:30

10. We want to take good care of my body because the Holy Spirit lives in me. I Corinthians 6:19

11. With God's power, We want to obey the basic principles of the Seventh-day Adventist church as supported by Holy Scripture.

12. We want to be baptized to show others that I am a Christian. Colossians 2:12
